Auto insurance does not
automatically cover the cost
of a replacement rental car
after an accident. So,
rental reimbursement is a
good option to insure
drivers to pay little or
nothing to rent a car.
Otherwise, it is available
for only $1 or $2 a month
with almost every auto
insurance policy.
Sometimes it takes time to
work out the details of a
claim with the auto
insurance company. Even if
the accident is not your
fault, you may have to wait
several days or longer to
get agreement from the other
insurance company to pay for
a rental car. Therefore,
don't wait to choose this
overlooked option until you
need to rent a car due to
accident.

Umbrella Policy
Umbrella liability insurance
is so named because it acts
like an umbrella, sitting on
top of your auto and
homeowners (or renters)
liability policies to
provide extra protection
including accidents while
driving your own car or one
that you rent. These more
cost-effective policies cost
as little as $200 to $300
annually for a million
dollars worth of coverage
and another $50 to $100 for
each additional million.
